Comments from Day 1

First day of the workshop is almost over.

Melissa Highton and I ran two sessions in which we provided an introduction to learning and e-learning and tried to identify the experiences and interests of the delegates.

A number of delegates expressed interest in the following topics:

• Use of Blogs and Wikis in e-learning
• Use of instant messaging
• VLEs such as Moodle, Backboard, WebCT, etc.
• Challenges of low-bandwidth
• Challenges of limited resources
